62 Years and Older/HUD

Thank you for your interest in Disciples Village of Tulsa, a NON-SMOKING facility.    We are pleased to provide a residential community for those who are 62 or older and meet our income guidelines**.  If under 62, we have some apartments architecturally designed to benefit the mobility impaired.  To qualify for admission to one of our units specifically designed for the mobility impaired, the head of the household, or spouse, must have a mobility impairment requiring the specially designed features of the unit.  Selection of any of our apartments is limited to the availability of the unit.  Financing for our residents is provided federally from the Department of Housing and Urban Development.  Therefore, no resident receiving assistance will pay more than 30% of his/her adjusted income for rent.  The only other expenses for residents would be the electricity, a necessary phone line (land or cell) and cable.

Disciples Village of Tulsa is located in a lovely, residential neighborhood on 31st Street in Tulsa.   We are close to several shopping and dining areas, including major grocery stores and pharmacies.    In addition, we are fortunate to host a weekly visit from a locally operated grocery truck

On site is a small yet dedicated staff who endeavor to provide our residents with housing and services especially designed to meet their physical, social and psychological needs, while promoting their health, sense of well-being and usefulness in living longer.  Over the last few years, we are pleased to have accomplished several improvements for our apartment community, including new furniture in our common areas, the addition of a computer/pool room accessible for residents and the installation of two large flat screen televisions.

Upon receipt and acceptance of the completed Housing Application, a copy of your birth certificate, Social Security card, as well as a copy of your driver’s license or state ID, and proof of income, we will begin the process of welcoming you to your new home.

** Please note our 2019 Income Limit Guidelines are no more than $39,050 a year for 1 person or $44,600 a year for 2 persons

Print and complete the application and either visit the office during operating hours or mail the application to the apartment office.
